This Ashtanga yoga workshop at usyoga in lovely Borås is all about deepening your understanding of your inner Gods and Goddesses. The dance of masculine and feminine within all of us. How we dance within will mirror our dance in the world. We’ll investigate the energy we carry within and how it’s connected far back to the ancient history of Gods and Goddesses in India.

Pranayama practice will also form part of each afternoon class.

  • 06:00- 8:30 Mysore style practice.

Friday 5 May

  • 06:00-08:30 Mysore style practice.
  • 16:00-18:00 Talk about the different Gods and Goddesses: today we’ll talk about the Shiva and Shakti principle. How do these energies dance within ourselves? How do asanas and pranayama affect these different energies? Can a deeper understanding of the Yamas and Niyamas affect how we connect with these energies?
  • Pranayama will end the class.

Saturday 6 May

  • 08:00-10:30 Mysore style practice.
  • 15:00-17:00 Continuing talk about the Gods and Goddesses. How are these ancient symbols still affecting our inner lives and choices? Who were the Goddesses Parvati and Durga? What energies did they bring to the world and what part in our inner lives do they have? Ganesha will also be part of this class, as well as some of the obstacles that he helps us through.
  • Pranayama will end the class.

Sunday 7 May

  • 08:00-10:30 Mysore style practice.
  • 12:00-14:00 We’ll close the workshop with love from Vishnu and Krishna. Lakshmi and all the Gopis of Krishna will also be part of this class.
  • Pranayama and a heart meditation will end the class.
