Take a break from Christmas and come and focus on different aspects of yoga for an afternoon. Maria will lead the class up to Janu Sirsasana, then you can practice on your own with assistance from Maria, Anette and daniel. This will be followed by yoga philosophy and pranayama. All levels welcome!

This deepening course is for those who have had a regular practice for a long time and have practised with me before. It offers a wonderful opportunity to journey much deeper into your yoga practice and discover the tools for real transformation. The course is spread over two years. We will meet for six days at a time of full-time studies, twice a year. So, there will be four weeks of teaching time in total. Around this you will need to study different parts of yoga philosophy. A 200-hour online anatomy course will be included, from David Keil of Yoganatomy. There will be an anatomy lecture with Rebecca Carlowitz, as well as the nervous system and the chakra system.

We start the days with Mysore classes in the mornings where you get personal help with your yoga practice. During two evenings we study and reflect over Patanjali Yoga Sutras second chapter. How to incorporate this wisdom into our daily lives and living the wisdom from within? We will practice mudras, kriyas and pranayama that cleans our layers in the body, brings strength, calms and balance both the energy system and the nervous system. Maria shares her great knowledge of Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras and gives us an insight into how to bring these big questions into our daily lives

We will shave three Mysore mornings based on traditional Mysore practice and two evening classes with talks about the essence of yoga and practice of pranayama. We will focus on the system of vinyasa, jumping through and how to make the practice light and reduce stress. You will develop a personal pranayama practice, and dive deeper into the system of Ashtanga Yoga.We will have lovely days!

We will practice yoga in Studio Lövås and bicycle to and from Solkoster just by the ocean, where we will stay. We will have all our meals in the beauty of Kosters Gardens. Led Hatha Yoga Flow class, based on Ashtanga Yoga and the principles of breath, focus and bandha. Focus will be on the asanas that grounds us, stimulates the flow of water and gives the energy of the fire. That will later be followed up in the class with a talk about the chakras. The class finish with some balancing and calming pranayamas. The evening is suitable for all levels – everyone welcome! You can also participate online.
